He received a bachelor’s degree in Biology from Middlebury College, where he spent his days studying physiology in the lab and the human form in the art studio. After graduating, he worked in the biotechnology industry on skin substitutes and performed research at Harvard Medical School. He received his MD degree from Tufts University School of Medicine and completed a general surgery residency at The Massachusetts General Hospital, including a two year research fellowship in plastic surgery. He completed his training in plastic and reconstructive surgery at the Lahey Clinic.
